I found ane ready of robes in that tower affair in the lake just below my majuscule, but its the only set ive always plant

You lot tin can find Bracers, which is basicly wizard armor.

yea +4 mght replace information technology, merely it should be pretty tardily game item and yous besides take to accept no monks/rogues etc who will benefit from information technology ameliorate.
You can actually get +5 in the second affiliate. I was pretty surprised when I found them.

Which actually surprised me, after playing for so long and seeing no robes. I thought they didn't exist in this game.
...they should add together some non-magical robes to the traders, simply so nosotros can requite our casters something to clothing.

that shield spell stacks with mage armor, and there is literally no reason not to cast it. It concluding a VERY LONG time even at 1st level. Do i need to specify that it basically infinite starting from like level 5 or smth. ANd every bit i said you lot will need at least +4 bracers, which wont happen someday soon.
I found a robe (of cold I recall) in the tomb e of the capital. However don't go in that location imediately afterwards condign baron. You'll become your a** handed to yous ;)

Mage Armour lasts for an hour per level, while Shield lasts for 1 infinitesimal per level is the deviation in duration I was talking nigh.
On a side note - if you DO become to that island tower, having a cleric with communal resist energy wil turn difficult encounters into a cake walk.
